The Indira Memorial Education Society (IMES) was established on September 13, 1987, under the U.P. Society Registration Act. It was founded with the mission of providing quality education and vocational training, focusing on the empowerment of underprivileged and marginalized communities. Currently, IMES operates eight campuses known as Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs).
One prominent institution under its umbrella is the Indira Gandhi Memorial ITI, dedicated to enhancing employment opportunities through skill development. Each year, approximately six thousand students graduate from the various institutes within the group, offering courses across 15 different trades. IMES boasts a robust alumni network of 200,000 individuals, reflecting its significant impact on education and skill development within the community.

2.To provide quality training to all possible people so as to achieve the national goal of 500 million skilled persons by 2021 so as to reduce unemployment.The vision of the Institute is to be a Center of Excellence for Education, training, research , development and innovation. The mission for accomplishment of the vision is through imparting quality education, vocational training, promoting skills development, entrepreneurship development with focus on value- addition, integration and optimal utilization of resources.
1. Provide tradewise education and training to students.
2. Provide Instructor expertise to the people of New Jersey and the nation.
3. Promote research based projects/activities in the emerging areas of technology convergence.
4.Provide exposure of latest tools and technologies in the area of engineering and technology.
Dr. B. S. Tomar (M.Sc., M.Phil. Ph. D) founded the IMES for the empowerment of the deprived and ignored sections of the society. Dr. Tomar is involved in a number of social services related initiatives in the region. of the deprived Presently he is chairman of the 7 ITI which run under the aegis of IMES. He follows the quotes as – “ Whosoever comes to me, through what so ever from, I reach him. All men are struggling through paths which in the end lead to me”.-Bhagavad Gita.
Dr. Tomar is the Chairman, Federation of All India I.T.I. Associations. He is also the Founder President of the U.P Private I.T.I. Management Association.

Indira Gandhi Memorial ITI
Indira Gandhi Memorial ITI is a part of IMES (Indira Memorial Educational Society) It is situated at a strategic location near Ghaziabad- Delhi Border. This ITI has the adequate infrastructure, faculty and other resources to facilitate the trainees in successfully completing their course/trade and opt for a more progressive and rewarding professional career in India & abroad. It offers a number of courses/trades along with admission opportunity as per the Government norms.
Large lectures halls fully equipped with contemporary education tools such as overhead/ LCD projectors, white boards with markers, etc. A state-of-art computer center provides excellent connectivity to bring the students to the global platform and absorb the latest technologies. Each department has its own specialized lab facilities, a platform to experiment with the theoretical concepts. The main workshop encompassing carpentry, sheet metal, forging, electrical, welding and fitting shops help the students with technical projects and competitions. All labs are also well-equipped with working models, prototypes, cut sections, etc. for better understanding of students.
